I’ve long enjoyed the creation of art. Historically, my artwork had very little (if anything) to do with math. However, now that I’ve spent so much of my life learning and working with math it’s hard for my art not to be informed by mathematics to some extent…
During the 2014-15 and 2015-16 academic years, I had the opportunity to participate in the UCBA Creative Arts Faculty Learning Community (CAFLC).
- In the Spring of 2015 our collaborative efforts resulted in a really great gallery exhibit, complete with a full-color catalogue.
- I also exhibited some work from the 2014-15 CAFLC (created in collaboration with Professor David Hartz) at the exhibit accompanying the 2015 Bridges conference.
- Furthermore, some of my work from the 2015-16 CAFLC was recently accepted for inclusion in the exhibit accompanying the 2016 Bridges conference.
